Rafal Chudy har begynt i NORSKOG

Rafał Chudy har over 10 års erfaring innen skogbruk og skogindustri over hele verden. Rafal begynte som seniorskogkonsulent i NORSKOG 1. desember, hvor han er ansvarlig for utviklingen av selskapets aktiviteter innen internasjonal skogverdivurdering, due diligence og konsulenttjenester knyttet til globale tømmerinvesteringer, skogforvaltningsalternativer, skogbeholdning, tømmersalg og eiendomsforvaltning. Tidligere arbeidet Rafal som skogøkonom og analytiker for U.S. og australske såkalte TIMO-er, hvor han hadde ansvaret for å sikre at forskning og erfaringsbasert innsikt underbygger investeringsprogrammer. Rafał jobbet også for EU-kommisjonen – Joint Research Center, med utvikling av skogbasert sektormodelleringsramme og verdikjedeanalyse i bioøkonomisk sammenheng.

Rafals forskning er blitt publisert i tidsskrifter og presentasjoner på internasjonale konferanser for skog og naturressursøkonomi. Han har en Master of Science (Forestry) grad fra Warszawa University of Life Sciences, Master of Science (Forestry and Environmental Resources) fra North Carolina State University, Master of Science (Forest Management) fra Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, og en doktorgrad i Skogøkonomi (spesialisert i skogssektormodellering) fra Norges miljø- og biovitenskapelige universitet, NMBU. Rafal har også et diplom i økonomistyring i kapitalmarkedsgrupper fra Warszawa School of Economics.

Rafał Chudy has over 10 years of experience in forestry and forest industry businesses worldwide. Currently, Rafal is a Senior Forestry Consultant at NORSKOG, where he is responsible for the development of the company’s activities in the field of international forest valuation, due diligence, and consultancy services related to global timberland investments, forest management options, forest inventory, timber sales, and estate management. Prior to this role, Rafal worked as forest economist and analyst for the U.S. and Australian TIMOs where he was responsible for ensuring that strong research and evidence-based insights underpin investment programs. Also, Rafał worked for the European Commission – Joint Research Centre, on the development of the forest-based sector modelling framework and value chain analysis in the bioeconomy context.

His research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at the international forest and natural resource economics conferences. He has a Master of Science (Forestry) degree from Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Master of Science (Forestry and Environmental Resources) from North Carolina State University, Master of Science (Forest Management) from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, and a PhD in Forest Economics (specialising in Forest Sector Modelling) from Norwegian University of Life Sciences. Rafal also has a post-graduate diploma in Financial Controlling in Capital Markets Groups from Warsaw School of Economics.
