Work experience:

Svein Skjerstad started as a project manager in NORSKOG in September 2019, working with valuation and due diligence of forest properties in Norway and several countries in Europe. In addition, he works with research and development, forest management and general economic issues in the forestry sector.

Mr. Skjerstad has recently graduated but has a respectable career as a technician in the music industry before he changed direction to the forestry sector. And in earlier days he has worked with manual forestry back in Bodø, in the Northern part of Norway.

Education:

Master of Science in Forestry at Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) – (2019).
Master of Science in Economics and Administration at Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) – (2016).

For his Master’s degree in Forest Science he received the award for best Master’s thesis and best Master’s student in november 2019. The price is supported by the whole forest industry, and is handed out by the Agriculture and Food Minister.
